In 2025, ART received a request for advice from the Committee on Mobility, Public Enterprises and Federal Institutions of the Chamber of Representatives. This request for advice concerned a draft resolution on the adjustment of the priority rules for the allocation of Belgian rail infrastructure capacity for passenger transport.
In its opinion A-2025-02-S, ART analysed the content of this draft resolution and examined the conditions under which the priority rules could be adjusted. In particular, it pointed out that any adjustment of priorities must strike a balance between the interests of the different types of rail transport on the Belgian market.
