On January 13, 2026, ART issued an opinion on the draft transport agreement submitted by NMBS and Infrabel, which will be in force for the next five years. This opinion suggested two areas for improvement, namely 1) not concluding the transport agreement before the expiry of ART’s advisory period and 2) extending Article 7.4 of the transport agreement with mutual commitments regarding safety issues on Infrabel’s infrastructure. the opinion can be consulted here.
